83 is still the best access, nearly to the gas plant then left into the bush, coming out at the trapper's cabin on Orloff. Lots of overflow. Be careful, whether you are with a snowmobile or quad when you go on the ice. Best to leave the pickup on dry land!!

Apparently guys were getting stuck with their sleds on the floodwater on Orloff and Calling. Personally I don't understand how you could get yourself in a situation where you sled gets stuck on floodwater unless you just stop blatantly in it and don't do a loop to see your sitting in floodwater.

One thing to be aware of. Both at 83 and south entrance I heard some "locals" had their way with parked trucks and whatnot. Just something to think about.

With the amount of water this spring I wouldn't count on it for a long while. Unless you have a tracked argo. Even dry years it can be a dandy to get in! Don't forget to hide/lock your stuff up...heard some bad stories last few years.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't Orloff along with every other lake other than trout ponds shut down for fishing til May? Also I was there last winter and prior winters and the flood water is terrible every single year and it seems like that lake is a snow collector cause it sits lower than many other lakes....just a heads up tip for you. Would hate to see you stranded on the lake with no one around for miles, nearly happened to us three winters ago.
