Also thinking of going after some bass around the same time but was planning further south.

I know the techniques are the same just wonder about the time of year and locations. I checked the regs and I would assume that all the lakes listed where you are allowed to fish them have the potential to have them but I was hoping to find out if there is a "best bet" lake. We are thinking around Jaffary?.?.

The south end of Windermere supposedly is better for the bass.

Tie Lake
Rosen Lake
Surveyors Lake....this being the best from what I have been told

Tie lake is about the best in Jaffray area. from the ramp go to the right cast in a d around Lilly pads and docks.when you get up past the cabins concentrate on casting under the down falls can pick up some big bass there.

Baynes lake is just south of Jaffaray and it's loaded with bass. Caught some in the 2-3lb range in there, it's way better than Surveyors lake imo. There are some big ones in Surveyor tho. Okanogan falls is another good bass hole.

Is there any out of the way quiet places to camp down there around the bass lakes? Looks like the road into keeley might be terrible after this rain. Might head to BC instead.

We caught a bunch of bass in Windermere on the long weekend using wacky rigged worms and Texas rigged worms. Bass pro has them on sale right now. Cranks in perch colors were working well also. We caught a few hogs too. Some of the biggest I've caught there in years. Mostly around the town of Windermere

I stay at Akiskanook resort. Nice place to take the kids too. I like to use circle hooks when wacky rigging. Good fishing outside of swim area.

2nd vote for Akiskinook. Stayed there a couple times. Location is good (straight across the lake from the lily pads) and it’s reasonably priced.

If you have a boat go to timber ridge in the morning (6-7) and late at night (9-10) and cast poppers and shallow cranks

As odd as it sounds we catch bass trolling cranks in the area around invermere. Trout seem to be almost impossible to catch and are caught going after the bass trolling. search this topic and someone a while back posted a map showing areas to target for bass. Lake gets busier as the day progresses and some large boat owners frown seem annoyed with our tinner putting along. Like pike minnow said timber ridge and near invermere earlier in the day. The pike minnows will keep kids busy
