Default Mosquito Foggers

We were at the cabin last couple weeks and no matter how much bug spray you put on the mosquitos were absolutely out of control. One of the neighbors had a fogger, seemed to do a great job. I ordered up a fogger but cant find anywhere to buy fluid for it in canada, anyone have experience with this?

I use one a great deal, and yes, very effective. Unfortunately for the last year or so, the fluid has been unavailable any more in Canada. Were you to have a friend travelling Stateside........there's a possibility they still have it down there.....and it still works well.....

I have used a garlic water solution in mine in the past. It was moderately effective but it made the yard smell amazing

I buy bottles of high concentration permethrin and mix it with water and spray the whole yard. 3.5 tablespoons per gallon and its twice as strong as what you can buy. It eats through the exoskeleton of bugs and is a synthetic extract from flowers. Safe for mammals mammals but bad for bees. Great for this time of year. No mosquitoes for 2 weeks

Either synthetic or extract. Can’t have it both ways.

Garlic in the house all the time , never ,ever seen a vampire . It’s hard to deny the science

Seriously. Though I read that garlic is efective on the little blood suckers and thought I would try it. It helped somewhat

The original stuff was made from chrysanthemums but they synthesized it.

Not to use in a forger but a buddy of mine using cloves been placed in alcohol for about 6 months and then the liquids applied to the skin…. His grandkids are allergic to bites and deet so he swears that this works like a charm! And it smells good too!

I think the foggers are not legal in Canada anymore. I used to mix my own permethrin/kerosene mix for mine and it worked amazing. Never considered (cared?) at the time that it killed everything on my acreage.

If you just need something for the odd evening or for an event, the OFF fog spray works pretty good too.

Not cheap, but it definitely works for me.

Where do you buy the stuff I’ve read about using it but looked online and can’t find it.
