Default 8 dead coyotes abandoned

Front Page Edmtn Journal:
http://edmontonjournal.com/news/loca...st-of-edmonton

FOUND: 8 coyotes dumped into a roadway ditch somewhere in Strathcona County. Based on photos, they all have their fur - not skinned.
There is no reported confirmation cause of death.

My conclusion is that this was done by an amateur:
The person isn't a true varmint hunter, nor a true trapper, nor a resident of the area, nor a conservationist at any level.
I am sure the guilty person lives east side of Edmonton, Sherwood Park or small hamlet.

Dear al
I can tell you it wasnt hillbillies or farm boys or farmers they would have left them where they hit the dirt or drug them to the end of the field and tossed them in the bush if they were getting rid of a problem and had no intention of skinning
Sounds more like someone from town hunting predetores who had good intentions but lacked knowledge or ambition
As for your coments it just shows what kind of a person you are i will give you a hint north end of a donkey walking south

Lots of people think trapping/shooting is fun....until they have to skin them that is.

Poison?

I wouldn't think that this is legal. At the least it would be considered littering if nothing else, the same as dumping what's left of a moose carcass after butchering. If you have nowhere else to dispose of them why not just take them to the dump?

Legal or not I don't know Alberta laws. But if they truly were beautiful coyotes which in mid April they ain't unless frozen from before should have been given to someone or whatever. That's like throwing a 1000 bucks out the window. Or throw them some place better. U can't fix stupid.

Nobody can do anything at all about dumping them in a ditch I don't think. Too bad this happened not far from me as I would have gladly taken them and skinned myself.
Alberta Al you got an idea who it is?
I'd like to know who
I know one guy that got his license this year by cooking lake but I don't think it is him.
I wish people wouldn't dump stuff in the ditch. It makes things look bad for any hunter or trapper

I have no idea who did the coyote killing or dumping.
I'm just passing-on the news article and you can come up with your own conclusions as to who might have done it and whether its a right or wrong practice. Being a coyote trapper, I value these animals and don't like seeing them wasted. Dumping carcasses or garbage along any roadside is a pure insult to that neighbourhood.
