Default Sylvan and Gull lake

Hello looking for some info on these 2 lakes.
I live in Sylvan and the Brother in Law is coming out with a pontoon boat to float around and fish for a few days.

I don't own a boat or fish much so looking for a few tips.
Below is what I've got so far.

On Sylvan, probably go to the North Public boat launch. Sunbreaker Cove.
Gull, I hear there is a decent launch NW (TWP 420) but sounds like there are several launches around the lake. Any launches to avoid with the larger pontoon boat?

If picking up gear or bait any recommendations in Sylvan, Red Deer or nearby? Wolverine or Sportsman's Den?

Never hurts to ask about bait, lures, depth or spots to try but it is nice just to get out.
I usually go out with the Mr. Twister, some spoons and a pickerel rig.

Thanks for any suggestions.
