Default Gull lake question

If one were to set up for a weekend on the ice on gull lake.... I have only been to brownlows and I assume it's one of the better drive on spots??? What depth would give me my best chance at catching a little of everything? Or is it a crap shoot?

Default gull lake.

I feel it will be a bit of a crap shoot. I find that when you drive on at brownlows if you go straight out or to the left you will find 4 to 8 fow and mostly white and perch with weds and the odd sandy spot. If you go straight to the second bay its a bit deeper and little more sand unless you go out to 8-12 fow and there's the very odd pike and burn with whites and perch still. If you go right then the water can be deeper and there way more pike less perch and some burbs and whites. Hope that helps have fun

If I was gonna settle on one depth range to try & catch all species at Brownlows it would be really tough! I would say 8'-10' should work for everything except walleye; I have never seen a walleye in that lake in less than 14' although there must be exceptions. It really depends on the fish, time of year, location, & weather patterns.

If you go out to the point that makes up the tip of the north shore of the bay at Brownlows, then head slightly south-east a couple hundred yards you will find 20+ FOW. Also I believe there is a drop off out from Pelican Point (north-east side of lake) that is @ 20 FOW as well.
