Gentlemen!

There are obviously two very different camps here..... I suggest a DUEL is in order

Can’t do pistols at dawn....

I suggest back yard putting contest....!

Challenge someone ...... if they do not accept.... you have won the argument.

The duel consists of the best one putt make a hole shot in your backyard.

We need an esteemed panel of judges here......three judges

Time to settle stuff like men!

Thoughts...?

Holy crap this is a brutal thread
I am privileged to live in central B.C.8 hours to Rupert/Kitimat/Belacola and have fished all I have met great guys from B.C. and Alberta and have also met absalout pieces of **** from both provinces I also spend a fair amount of time in Alberta racing and when there I get a great welcome when you come to our events in Prince George we try to give you a great welcome.

Please do not confuse us with the lower mainland we are the same as you ,we are stanch conservatives and do not fall into the J T program.

PS
I bet Jamie is one of the ..... i have met running a shadow charter business one of the guys we see show up with a different crew every week and a pickup with a freezer in the back to run the fish and out going crew back to Alberta

Guess people up in FSJ have been calling the RCMP on people walking their dogs.

Beginning to see how very, very easy it is for the government to use fear to their advantage. Curious how many people have said they'll hide their guns, use force to defend their rights to own firearms, etc., but aren't leaving the house because the government suggested it.

Default Thank the Lord Above

I would like to thank the AO crowd for affirming there are still a bunch of stubborn, opinionated, redneck Albertans left. I was worried all there was left was a bunch of milquetoast, politically correct, wimps. LOL...

After my daughter cleared her 2 week lock up, the Police called for the same reason. Some lemon sucking pos aggravated because they were getting fresh air in front of their own house. Police said it was a courtesy call for the complainant and apologized to my daughter for the stupidity of it all. Nice Leo.

Good point on part 2, all little dogs bark at bigger dogs when there is a fence between lol.

Lol that is good. In the same situation and the kids are going to be learning the finer points of isolation pretty soon here if the weather holds up. It's "their" dog or so they say.

So, not to single you out as most of this doesn't apply to you, but how far is ok?

I am all for a total ban on anything BC, as I stated way back in post #2, but where would you or anyone else draw the limit for travelling within Alberta?

By the same logic some are using to defend the BC mentality I could say that the villages of Pigeon Lake or Lac Ste. Anne don't want out-of-towners around. I mean, Edmonton is a hot spot compared to Alberta Beach afterall.

And how many people that are arguing with Ken (who is going to drive in his own truck and stay on his own boat) about travelling to BC, are fully planning on heading to Cold Lake or Slave Lake this summer?
Very few will admit it, but my guess is a lot.

At the end of the day common sense and logic must prevail. Blanket stay-at-home remarks will only work with very few people.
Education, social distancing, staying home if you're sick or sickly, and very good hygiene are the best answers. And that applies to all provinces.

Default Enough!

Boys and girls, we’re getting a lot of complaints about this thread! So I implore you to have some courtesy when responding to opposing points of view! We all have 2 common traits, we’re all flawed human beings, and we’re all proud sportsmen sportswomen. Treat others as you want to be treated. Next one out of line gets punted to the corner for a month! Carry on respectfully.

Pretty fair comment. We are NOT in lockdown.

I've spent a couple days fishing this last week and it wasn't near as concerning as heading to the grocery store where people aren't getting the social distancing thing. As far as I'm concerned your chances are 1000x greater of catching the Wuhan doing the things we have to do than doing the things the fear mongers say we shouldn't.

I take this seriously don't get me wrong but there has to be some level of common sense applied.

Only problem is the 3 esteemed judges would be on the "My hair is not on fire" side of things. Cause everyone else is boarded up in their basement and peeking out from behind the blinds......

I have noticed that in my circles, socially and current work life, the folks that aren’t taking this seriously don’t take their health seriously to begin with. It’s the same ones that use the elevator to go up one flight of stairs and treat their bodies like a garbage dump. Just an observation. Coincidentally it’s these types that won’t recover from this virus if contracted...

Your suggesting that I don’t take this or my health seriously...?

Or am I misinterpreting. I’ve run in ultramarathon trail races every year since 2005.
I’ve only missed 2 years because of training injuries. 3 major races per year is my preference.....

Except this year....

Not at all! I know you do. I know you are a runner. I’m just being descriptive on what I have seen in my circles in regards to the two camps as you put it Bessie. My observations socially and at my work may or may not apply with the membership here... just sharing my observations

You misinterpreted me. But I’m not very skilled with words at times..

I am too young to golf, perhaps when I turn 70.

I am still on snowshoes every day for a couple of miles to run my dog, but it will be nice when the snow is gone, and I can get back on the mountain bike. Exercise does wonders at times like this, which is why not having the gym sucks.

Golf course is just a waste of what could have potentially been a decent gun range...
