They were indeed! We all spotted him in the early morning but they sat impatiently in the truck as I stalked him just over an hour. Then they were involved for the cleaning. Neither of them understand the term silence enough yet to get up close n personal with critters yet! Lol

Sure loved having them along and look forward to our future adventures!

Great pics all! For some reason I have never ever seen a moose in the bush when I had a tag in hand. I have never killed one, somehow killing a moose is more difficult than killing a sheep for me.

I'll trade you a couple surefire moose spots for a good sheep spot, mine hasn't been producing as of late, hahahahahahahahaha!

just some advice, I already posted my moose on page one. It came from wmu xxx in western alberta. But there are a lot of wolves out right now, and the moose aren't calling back very often because of that. Just be persistent and they will still come and check you out! Good Luck!!

Wolves are bad in 353 and I didn't ever manage to call in a moose, they just wouldn't respond. Shot my bull on a cut line just randomly. took home a wolf too.

We just got back from a 7 day hunt, we missed the rut this year, bulls were calling back but just never came out. Wolves everywhere, the guys shot at four different dogs, and my little brother got one on the last day. Makes it very hard to hunt moose when the wolves are thick as thieves in our area.

Bagged a huge body 40 some inch bull in 353 2 weeks ago. Thanks mostly to my brothers calling skills. Saw a ton of bears, only one wolf. The predator sign has exploded the last couple years in there. Not sure if it has to do with how much the area has been opened up from the tony creek, big stone road upgrades.
