Good luck, if your going to pierce hopefully you can catch the one that spooled us off. That was a 50lbs+ fish.

We went about 2 years ago with the sole intention of catching them on a fly. They were relatively shallow and we just trolled our sinking line around with bucktails and other streamers. It was a riot. As for where to fish it....you got mail

You might be early enough to site fish for some spawning Gators in Howe Bay. Thats by the lodge/camp. As far as lakers my wife is the only one to land one there.
Also had luck for perch in the pencil reeds. You can hit those up after you limit out on lakers.

Forgot to update, 3/4 of us were skunked, 1 guy caught a sucker and small pike. It's enough to stop a guy fishing completely.
