Default Cross/steele lake ice conditions

I'm planning a trip up to cross lake next weekend for my first trip of the year. I'm just wondering if anyone's been up there yet to check the ice or fished it yet. Thanks for the help guys

Havnt been there yet but theres less snow there then edmonton area so ice should be forming pretty good in this cold weather. Gonna try getting up there next weekend too.

I was there yesterday. Ice was from 6 inches to 10 inches thick depending where you drilled. There was some flood water in patches and that is where the ice was only 6 inches thick. I walked on and so did everyone else that was there. Might need another week or two for safe driveable ice.
