Looking for what you guys are using. Just starting on this project. Hornady brass r22, hornady 208gr. What's your recipe? Velocity?

77 grains of retumbo is my load for the 208 amax, 2950 fps, same brass, the hornady brass did not last long, switched to Norma brass, 210 vld and H1000, 30'' barrel, WLRM primers did best in my load

My happy load for my 300 with the 210 VLD is 75 grains H1000 for a slower 2840. Was lucky enough to score an 8 pounder of H back in the spring, need more.

I'm hoping my expectations isn't to high with r22 I'm hoping I can accurately get around 2900fps out of a 26" barrel

I had to toss the Hornady brass after the second firing at that load, same load with Norma brass and I am going on ten. I know some guys are pushing it over 3050 with the 208, I don't see the need for it myself.

IMR 7828ssc with win Brass, 210 grb berger at 2875fps, 5 rnds in 0.6" at 100m. 72 grns IMR 7828 IIRC, start low and work up though.
210 grn bullet touching the lands gave best Accuracy and Vel spread.

Browning xbolt. 208 gr Amax, 74 gr of H1000
Hornady brass COAL 3.645
2800fps. Not a hot load but very accurate. 5 shot group .5 MOA. 26 in barrel. Just got rid of my rl22 without using it so kinda kicking myself now.
