Default Cabelas brand sale on meat grinders etc...20% off

I dropped into Cabelas Calgary this afternoon, all Cabelas brand equipment is 20% off.
Piicked up a 1 hp Cabelas Carnivore grinder.
Stuffers, vacuum sealers etc.. also on sale.

Pick up a 3/4 hp grinder about 7 years ago on sale from Cabelas and have NEVER look back. Fantastic machine.

I'm sure you will enjoy the grinder. From my research I believe the Carnivore is a Weston butcher series built for cabelas. I run the Weston Pro Series number 22. It's 2 hp and is a beast!

Figures his would happen. I just bought an LEM big bite. I wanted a Cabela’s but have no complaints, the LEM is quiet and works faster than I do.

When making sausage with these, is it still the same technique where you have to press the meat in and with the other hand hold the casingso it fills correctly?

Stuffed only once this way.....more frustrated than I can recall! Got a 11lb stuffer for Xmas that year and haven't looked back!

My Weston pro grinder broke down three weeks ago. Sale just on time. Picked up carnivore 3/4 hp today.

Iskra which one did you have? How old was it? They have a 5 year warranty. Also the Pro series have higher HP.
