Thanks guys.

I got some supplies from Lowes and got the scratch thingie for 15%, but i heard one person bought stuff for 5k and he did not even know about the scratch thing and he paid some 2 or 3$ and he was shocked lol. I got my lumber in Timbertown, Mcleaod.

Now do you guys have any suggestion for the gravel to be put under the deck?where to buy and what quality is better? Also how about the weed control cloth? any place you would suggest.

Why are you putting gravel under the deck?

I only put down landscape fabric if the deck is going to cover already established lawn. Blades of grass growing through the spaces between boards looks horrible and is hard to cut.....lol.

Another option I would check out Windsor Plywood. Bought my last deck materials there at the Bowness store and was great.

Um, how about just leveling out the ground and putting down some concrete patio slabs somewhere outside the back door? Nine of them at 5.50 a pop gives you a 12 x 12 foot fireproof, non-skid, no-maintenance, all-weather, weed-resistant, ground-level flat deck capable of supporting substantial weight; for fifty bucks complete.

You could even build up a low flat mound of packed earth or gravel to lay the plates on, half as high as some wooden contraption, to shed water and give it a 'deckish' look. And you can use the same snow shovel or broom to clear it as you would for wood.
