Anyone been to Lake Newell lately?

Just wondering if anyone has fished Newell lately? Going out this weekend with the family camping at Kinsbrook PP for a few days, and looking to do a little fishing. Temps are going to be up in the high 20's low 30's so may end up sitting in the water with the kids . Big thank-you's for any reports.

I was there last week. Windy. Water clarity not great. Water temp 65-68 degrees. Lots of small pike to be caught, only a few walleye, one 62 cm. Not the greatest bite. I fished all my regular spots with not a lot of success.

Was there last weekend for the long weekend and filled our tags in 2 hours. got a 5 and 8 poud wally. Trolling the whole time.

Went there last Friday. Rained all morning so we didn't get really going until about 11AM. Got into Walleye imediately and it went on all day until we quit at about 5. Best day I have had on Newell. Fish were all 19 inches plus and we bottom bounced, trolled (not as good) and jigged. We were getting them in 7 feet (and deeper) of water which was really surprising as the sun was good and bright for most of the afternoon. Got a few Pike but they were all small. My arm was killing me on Saturday. Rick.

I was there last week fishing in jackfish bay lots of bites for my buddy but I nothing he got a 20 lb 41 inch pike and a few wallie the pike had 3 huge gashes on its side

The walleye were biting pretty good 2 days ago on the North end by the head gates were the water releases into the canal.
Bottom bouncing between 25 and 30 feet of water. Clarity of the water was poor but the fishing was pretty good.
