Default Pigeon Lake Algae Bloom?

Just checking to see if anyone see any algae blooms at Pigeon lately?

heard on the news that some residents already seeing algae forming already in the lake.

any info?

Global News in Edmonton had a warning about blue/green algae on Lake Isle. Don't swim, don't eat the fish, etc. They also said that the cycle of blue/green algae is only a 'few days' - however I wouldn't have a clue how to judge if it was gone or not.

They didn't say anything about pigeon, however.

I heard there was a thick layer of dead whitefish this year.

lots of whites (and burbs) die there every summer; shame it's usually the really big ones

Was there sat, it wasn't bad but I don't know what it looks like in the spring. Only saw one dead white fish, and it was big!
