Talking i need some fishing spots for trout WITHOUT a boat

Dose any one know where i can go fishing for some decent size trout/pike ON SHORE around calgary and cochrane area, i have fished bow river tons of times, i'm kinda looking more for a pond or lake where i can fish of shore for trout or pike, that would be great thank!

Glenmore reservoir....do a search on the forum and you will see all kinds of info. It meets all your needs:

-in Calgary
-can fish off shore
-pike
-trout

decent size? Basically what you have is stocked trout around Calgary outside the Bow River. 4-12 inch is common size. If you want bigger...you have to go to Bullshead or Police.

are you willing to travel an hour outside of Calgary? If so I know a decent place to catch a fair bit of average sized smaller trout. Gets winter kill but it should be stocked by now or pretty soon.

Dewitt's Pond is near Airdrie and is stocked and they were biting flies today in the morning before it got windy. Carburn Park Pond has pike in it. It is in Calgary.

i think chestemere lake has pike in it.

In Bullshed lake is it possible to catch fish off shore?? and where abouts is it?

For Chestermere lake you dont need a boat..i live out i chestermere and theres alot of spots you can fish from..if your taking highway 1A you can fish off the boat launch or the bridge just watch out for the weed beds they can get nasty
