Default Cold lake camping

What are my chances to get into 1st come 1st serve camping? (Tent, power/no power, but truck accessible)
I have a friend visiting from the US and I was going to take him to Kananaskis lakes and Spray (in 380 inflatable), but it looks like it's not gonna happen now, so I am trying to work out plan "B".
Looks like there is a fair chance of catching a keeper in Cold even with a new regulations.
I would also consider SK if there is a better lake (place to go within 8 hours driving from Calgary with lakers or trout (any) in it)
If somebody could give me an idea, I'd really appreciate this

AK

Does it have to be a nice sopt? If not you could contact the
Cold Lake Information Centre ‎
4009 50th Street (780) 594-4747
They run a campsite with hookups accross the street from Tim Hourtons in Town. I have never seen the place full but I do not know if they take tents.

Good Luck and have a great and safe long weekend

Default Camping spots on Cold Lake

You could camp at Sandy Beach (East side of the lake). Its crown land i think. Free.
