Exclamation Ice saw- anyone used one?

I have not been to my shack in a couple weeks and the ice will be a foot thick, pita to redrill with the auger or move the shack. I had thought chainsaw but I'm not putting oil in the water, and I don't want to wreck my chainsaw, thought a 12v recip saw but can't see that working.
The videos I have seen look like they are on fairly new ice, 8" or less.
I don't know how well an ice saw will work on super hard ice, hoping for information from people that have used one.

Default Ice saw

Isn't there a limit on the size of hole you can have? I thought ice saws were mainly for removing biggish chunks.

There is no restrictions on ice hole size limits, I can't seem to find it in the regs anywhere

If you have seen the holes Natives cut to net in the winter time I doubt hole size is an issue. How about an ice chipper.

The saws don't work in late ice?

I have an ice chipper but it's not great, and again the ice may be very thick by now with me not being there. The snow I had pushed up for insulation is long gone, its wide open now.
