Default Good trade eh?

I just traded my Marlin 1895 SS 45/70 for a Remington 700 SPS .270Win.
So was this a good trade?

The other guy got the better deal but if you needed the .270 then everyone is happy.

A trade is best measured in the satisfaction of the two tradee's... the value of the trade is secondary.

K, How so? It was an early Micro Groove bbl'd model. $50 bucks for a box of ammo, same for bullets & same for brass hmmmm..$150 bucks right there.
$21.99 for 20 .270's at Crappy Tire...see where I'm going.
The Marlin was also a 1980's manufacture...believe me she was in tip top shape.
The SPS had 30 rounds max down the tube. So now I'm down to only 4 leveractions....I also needed a dedicated big game rifle. Now I got it

In every conceivable way.

If you got what you want and are happy then by all means it's a good trade

Why are you asking? You seem to have already formed your opinion on it.

I wouldn't have made the trade, but you did, and you appear to be happy with it, so for you it was a good trade. Enjoy.

No one can tell you what the worth of a trade is to you. There are obvious things such as the monetary value between the two guns but if it works for you then good on you. I'm in the process of trading a $480 surefire flashlight for a 200$ rifle scope because it works for me. Money wise its kinda stupid but since I won the light who cares...
