Bino's with rangefinder built in

Ok so ya got the Bino's up...spot something of interest...put Bino's down fumble for range finder...got him ranged...put down range finder and grab rifle...fumbling around...sometimes seconds really matter...so looking at purchasing Bino's with rangefinder capabilities...look, press button and ranged....anyone use this type of product...pro/cons..makes..models...recommendations.

I’ve been running these for several years and absolutely love them. I’m consistently using them to judge where I am at in the field especially in the mountains where distance can be very hard to judge. I like to look and see if the animal is at 1000 check to see what the trees it rock is at for a distance and quickly make a plan.

I've had the Bushnell 1600 yard ones for years and they are really fantastic. I don't know how far they really go but it's at least 800 to 1000. I don't think I've even changed the batteries. They even give me slope to the target and some other cool functions that I don't use.

The only way to go imo is the range finding binos,faster,easier then single binos and range finder,fig out your budget and start doing research in that price range and start comparing.i have never had an issue with the pair I have ( Leica HD-B 2200 now 3000 series.
My Dad has had his pair for over 20 years the original Leicas with no issue,but I’m sure the swaro’s and ziess are the same,good luck on your findings and new range binos

I just went through this.

I had Leica Ultravids 10x42 HD - awesome glass (just sold them). Bought Leica Geovids 8x42 HD-B 2200 ( i think)- Awesome glass

I bought them to go down to 1 optic for the same reason you are considering.

The Geovid's are much larger, I prefer the size of my old Ultravids
I acutally had to buy a new bino harness for them. Bought a Kuiu Pro Harness but prefer my old Sitka (older version) harness.

Glass quality are the same - awesome.

Ranging on the Geovids is super slick and quick. I haven't gotten into the ballistics yet but it looks impressive for the ranges I hunt.

For Bow hunting I am concerned the Geovids may be too bulky. So much so that I am considering a compact pair of 6.5x32 Kowa or 6x30 Maven and a hand held range finder for bowhunting.

lf you are just a rifle hunter Geovids are the way to go. If you bow hunt and rifle hunt I'm not 100% sure at this point. I may end up with two set ups depending on what I am doing.

I' ve got the same and they will range out to 1800 yards on reflective objects..

There is a big price difference between the Geovid R and the HDR.

I see the HDR ranges twice as far. Has anyone compared the optical quality side by side?

I use the Vortex fury 5000s as mentioned in another thread. I got a 4200 yard Reading while sheep hunting this Aug. Very impressive. Good enough glass to pick out sheep and goats from far away, all day for hours with very little eye fatigue. Will never go back to naked binos. Having that range right in front of you is a game changer.
