Default Payne(Mami), Police Outpost, Dipping Vat

Hey guys, might consider making a trip out this way on Monday or Tuesday, any reports on ice conditions? Or has anyone fished and had some luck? Thanks

as of a couple days ago police had about 15% open water payne was still solid and dipping vat may be a waste of time as they havent stocked it in 3 years. I am planning to go for a drive to police lake saturday, I will post my findings.

I was hoping I would get a trip to Police before walleye season but that isn't looking like it is going to happen anymore.

All lakes mentioned above are open water. The only hard water we found was on Butcher, Bathing and Beaver Mines Lake. Payne was good fishing with alot of little guys. Police Lake we did catch some nice bows and with the newer regulations the fish are finaly starting to GROW..We could not pinpoint what fly they wanted in particular but seemed to catch a few here or there on whatever fly....Tight lines...good luck...
