Default Cold Lake prov Park camping question

Booked into Cold Lake prov Park for a week in Aug. I booked sites in A loop as it says they have power and water. But looking at the Pictures on line I can’t for the life of me see any power box or water hookup in any of the A loop sites.
Has anyone stayed in these A loop sites that can confirm they do have power and water??

Easiest answer is to pick up the phone and call them. With what is going on right now, even services that were there a year ago may not be operational. For example, shower houses are shut down most places, as are public washrooms.

The guy I got on the phone just read what he saw on the website. He didn’t know either. I just think you’d see the hookups in the picture?

Hookups are near the front of the site by the road. If you are parking your unit back by the firepit to leave room for a vehicle and boat you will need an long extension for power and water. I had to use two hoses and an extra extension to make it to the power hookup.

Anyone comment on the bug situation in the prov Park right now? Does one need to pack a blood transfusion supply?

I think it's safe to say pack lots of dope. I haven't seen a year this bad for bugs in a long time. Might be wise to take head nets as well.

When I was a kid we lived on the North Shore of Cold Lake. Black flies, horse flies, and mosquitoes have always been a real problem there during the summer months. If you went in swimming you were literally covered with horseflies as soon as you came out of the water. We always had a fire going on shore, even in 90 above. With the combination of wet and hot weather we have had this year I would imagine they are just atrocious this year.
