Default Clear Lake (Stavely)???

Can anybody give me a heads up on how Clear Lake is fishing for pike?

I have a trip coming up with a few guys and need to decide if it is better to hit Clear Lake or get them to drive up and we hit Wabamun.

Last time I was looking at heading out that way (Clear) someone informed me there was a blue-green algae warning... Not sure on conditions now, hopefully someone can chime in, and if nothing else could try calling the campground.

Pike limit is 1 over 100cm.
So if you have any interest in keeping a fish then Wab is likely a better choice

Gawd if there is a choice between Wabamun and Clear the choice would be Wab. Not even a close choice.

I haven't been to Clear myself lately. But a buddy that was there said it was in his words "very slow".

Wab has a ton more fish, and a lot bigger fish. Bigger than Clear can ever think of producing.

Purely catch and release for us.. 2 guys are from Cochrane, 1 from BC and I am in Blackfalds... that is why I was thinking south.. But I do love having 100+ fish days at Wab.....

I live in Calgary, but my choice would be Wab for sure. We were into lots of nice pike there a few weeks back. Good luck.
