Lots of ice. All entrances seem to be good. Trucks are driving all over. There seems to be a couple of bad spots on the north end and near Marie island.
Fishing was slow for me last weekend.

Heading up for at least one day this weekend, not sure which day yet. Likely going solo, and will be my first trip on Cold this year. Usually head out from PP.

If anyone wants to meet up out there to cover some water message me.

Dont really have any favorite spots yet. One spot I have fished that I'd like to try again, but its way out in the lake and I don't have it marked on my GPS.

Just got back from Cold lake, I think we had a pretty good trip. We iced 8 or 9 lake trout, 2 keepers. Caught a couple of burbot. Lost a **** load. Lots of followers on the flasher just not committing. I was good overall, but caution should be used on every lake. Now that I have been there once I would love to get back up in February, and give it another go. I have lots of pics and some video, I will try to post

We're heading out Thursday. First trip of the year. Forecast looks to be cooperating. That melt water should freeze up good. Gonna be an ice cleat weekend for sure.

Can't wait. I like to fish the 100' mark.

The ramp at PP was rough by the time I left today two big holes got to go slow but traction is not good pp road is ice rink couple trucks off road this morning.if clearance or traction is an issue try the marina access. Bite is still very slow at all depths.their there but you have to chase them.

PP = provincial park

There is a boat launch there that provides ice access into that bay and out to the main lake.

French bay access is also another good bet. I drove on from provincial park and it was extremely slick! Didn't even bother trying to drive up it ...drove off at the French bay launch instead.
