Default The official 2011 PIF and STOLLERY CHILDRENS HOSPITAL CHARITY thread!

The Official 2011 2nd annual Pay It Forward thread!!!

Here is how it works, anyone that participated last year will know, this is for the new guys. I am adding a new slant this year, bringing 10 new members into the thread or into the forum and then the pif thread will count as a pif. Pm me your list of 10 guys that contribute in the thread and I will add the PIF.

You MUST give a Pif before you can claim. Do not say " I want the 'widget' and I am offering a 'widget' ." I will get the mods to delete any replies not in the correct order.

If you want to play, round up your pif's and get in the thread.

Try to keep your transactions as close as possible in value, do not take a riding lawnmower if you gave a match box car. Keep it fair for everyone.

You can give as many pif's as you wish, but do not claim more than you have given.

The giver is responsible for shipping. Please do so within 3 days of your gift being claimed. I still get the odd pm about not receiving pifs from last year.

Please let me do the thread inventory. I can handle it, and it keeps the confusion down.

Keep everything other than shipping addresses in the thread, pm's claiming gifts are not to be used. The format is again, give a pif, quote the reply of the item you would like, and add "I would like this please". Very simple.

Part 2
After the thread gets rolling, I will ask for ideas on who to name as the recipient of the donations.
Let's hold off the ideas until I bring it up though, please.

Have fun, and Go!

We had 40 pages of replies, and 25000 views last year. $5500 went to the Stollery Children's Hospital. Can we beat it?

My PIF:
Two heating repair service calls, to residences in Calgary and within a 30 minute drive from the city limits. Parts (if any required) will be charged, but any markup $$ will go to this years designated charity just as they did last year.

( Actually last years donation to the Stollery drastically exceeded the $45 total of the parts sold. Let's make this year better!)

Forgot to add, am hoping a moderator will delete this reply and add the information below to the original thread body.

Do not put an asking price on any pif's. You can show value but not not demand price.

New with tags, Rock and Republic ladies jeans. Giftable.

Waist: 27" . . . NOT "feel good" sizing: 27" means 27"
Inseam: 35.25" (as I measured)

Please note that skin is visible through the black lace. You've been warned.

Please note that the studs are on one hip only.

Revo 3050 080/J8 Stealth Mirror Polarized H20 sunglasses

Actual glasses:

More specific info on the model here:
http://www.vintagesunglassesshop.com/item_vs807.html

The glasses are in great shape. No scratches that I can see (and I am very fussy about scratches on lenses). The case is in rough shape.

Default offering

I have three scopes on offer. One is a Simmons 3-9x40, the other two are older Weaver K4 scopes. The only one that I used was the Weaver K4 that comes with the rings, which came off my single shot Anschutz 22 when I upgraded the glass.

Yours for the taking

In the spirit of supporting an excellent and worthy cause, and because Ken is just such a damn nice guy....! My PIF:

I'm digging into my very precious and personal stash of hot sauce and salsa. For all the chilli heads out there, pay close attention now.....This stuff is The Best. I found it by accident while living in the US, it is made in Kansas City, and it is almost impossible to get here unless you want to pay double on shipping. Every couple of years, I pony up several hundred and stock up. It's that good. The Raw Heat and the Fire & Spice are my favorites, the Jose Goldstein Chipotle Garlic will make you weep for joy....and the Chipotle Berry is good on ice cream. Really. Anyway, this is premium stuff, but beware! If you get it you will end up having to have more. 'Nuff said. All I know is, Chilli Heads are a generous bunch, if you get my drift......

I think you should take up my PIF, try the goods, and let everyone else know how yummy in your tummy this stuff is....Or post a video of your own?

"HURRY UP ICE CREAM!!!!! OMG!!!!"

Johnny Cash's 'Ring of Fire' could be your sound track.

I think the PIF video is a good idea as well. HunterDave is giving up a credit. I will donate $20 to the charity to see this video. I bet this could possibly raise a bunch of pledges to the Charity! (chanting starts) "TWISTED CANUCK, TWISTED CANUCK, TWISTED CANUCK"

All we need now is someone to volunteer to take care of his widow and 5 kids.
