14 foot Lund used
I am not selling one...just curious what people think one would be worth. 25-30 years old. Well used but not leaking. Needs new oar locks though. I think a new 12 - 14 foot aluminum Lund will set you back at least $2K. So what is an older one (maybe thicker aluminum back then??) is worth. $100, $250, $500?

Just check kijiji what similar boats go for. I just got a 2012 14' lund for 1800. I would ask 700 settle on 500

Having spent alot of time in this area in the last 3 years and having just bought a 12 ft and about to buy another one..
You are right a brand new one about 2000.00..
You can ask between 800 and 900...
I think most of the ads on kijiji are way OVER priced...
I think depending on how it looks you should get at least 800...
but again the market is always changing.
In April I can't make deals with guys and by July they are begging me to take their boats.

I sold 2 older 12 ft lunds, hulls were really good shape, just the paint looked faded and a bit rough, otherwise very good condition.
Sold for $ 700 each, thats slave lk prices where everything is worth a few bucks more. So if your in calgary area thinking 700 low and 8-900 high price.

Cool. I checked with the lake office thinking they might be swapping some boats out for new.
Looks like there might be 4 available.
I will see if I can post it for them. Nice thing about these boat is that they only ever either sat on the water or sat on shore. No dragging over rocks and etc.
Looks like they also want to sell a whaler with a outboard jet. The boat still floats but it is fiberglass and waterlogged IMHO. They will have to sell as is.

Depends on the condition. I got my 14ft aluminum thats pretty beat up to look at, but overall a solid hull for 250 bucks. If your buying I would haggle them down to $500 if they are in good shape. 8-900 seems pretty high for a 25-30 year old boat thats been stored outside. I would say $650 MAX, JMHO

I stand corrected from a pm... The fella thinks these are 12 footers. They just seem bigger than my 12 footer. Still I paid over $2000 for my 12 footer.
Condition definitely is a consideration. I don't know of any that are leaking. I don't see why all boats can't be in the water for a test prior to leaving the lake...cause once the money is paid it is sold as is where is.
Cheers

I heard that 30 years ago the aluminum was thicker than what is used today. Anyone know if this is true? I don't know of any that are leaking. $500 - $650 seems reasonable for a sound 12' Lund.

I'm pretty sure the model for these boats is A-12 (12ft)
