Default lower k ice off yet

was thinking of taking the kid up there tomorrow for some shore fishing.

Not too likely.

Cannot imagine any high altitude lakes being open before late May at the earliest.

There is an open section of water around the spillway from the upper lake that stays open pretty well all year and I am sure that it will be open this time of year.
