Still solid on Thursday afternoon. Two small holes.

Ice is looking rotten though and it is only a matter of time. I would think by next weekend it should be ice free.

Payne should be 95% open, but I don't think the boat launch will be ice free.

Just saw on another site where a guy had his boat in at Payne and it is totally open.

I'll be on the water this week.

Police was solid.
Payne was 95% ice free, no bites, lots of wind

I was there in the boat today.

It is wide open and the waves were a pretty decent size for such a small lake.

The wind sure kicked the crap out of me today and the fishing wasn't the greatest either.

We did get into a bunch of fish but couldn't find anything bigger then 17.5".

Nice Nate, Im surprised you toughed out the wind today.. I really wanted to head out somewhere but i decided I wouldn't enjoy it too much with how bad it was. Glad you got some fish.

Ya I had to man up and get out there. The fishing wasn't what I was hoping for but I am glad I ended up getting out on the water for awhile.

I am heading out for walleyes tomorrow and possibly Sunday.

Hi Nate, I'm from Lethbridge too. Just wondering where a guy can fish for walleye right now that isn't closed. The only place that comes to mind is Cross Coulee. I usually fish for trout so I'm not up on all the walleye regs etc.
Regards,
Trevor
