Default Pidgeon Whites, Not all bad news

Fished mullhurst yesterday, got 2 whites for the freezer.. and man were they huge ! Also started hooking into walleye while bouncing my wire worm around... interesting that they would eat insects. ended up moving spots because the walleye encounters started to become too frequent.

The fishing is no where close to where it used to be [dozen plus whitefish a day etc...] but the size is absolutely stupid! First one of the day must have been at least 5 pounds, and fought like the devil !

used copper colored wire worm with a green bead on it, red and orange were not productive.

happy white fishin'
Oliver

In general, It's tough to target whites during January and February. Wondering if you mind telling what depth of water you were fishing.

Thanks
