Default .270 wsm 700sps

i have been reloading my .270 wsm and am going to try out the hornady sst in a 150 gr . i have imr 4350 . i am planning to load 57.6 gr with a oal of 2.845 has anyone tried this. for now it will only be used for accuracy at a 500 yds .... i hope.

Your rifle will let you know if that is the right combination.

What a specific load will do, or not do in any other rifle is meaningless.

Even 2 consecutive serial numbered rifles of the same make can often show great differences in load prefrence.


That is why you load it, shoot it, and evaluate it.

One of my Tikka T3 LS rifles shoots 140gr Accubonds with 71.0gr of Retumbo (compressd load) the other prefers 69.0gr Retumbo. Superior accuracy with both. Just goes to show that no two rifles that are identical shoot the same, as Dick284 said. Found the same with my Sako m75ss 300WM and my buddy's that were bought at the same time.

Use a powder, and develope a load and find out what shoots best. Your rifle will show you at the range which powder/charge/bullet como works the best.
