Self guided motorcycle tour -England
Going thru a mid life crisis.
Selling everything, changed careers.
Got a couple weeks before starting new job.
Decided to hop on a plane and go ride around England.
Lots of routes online, but wondered if anyone has done this and recommend what route and bike would be the best.

Personally i would head to stonehenge then bugger off to scotland around st andrews. Golf a round then maybe edinborough for a few days. Go see william wallace monument. Head up to loch ness. Over to glasgow and catch a ferry to ireland for the second half; and then head back to london. In ireland blast from belfast to the ring of kerry. Over to cork county and kiss the blarney stone. Go see dublin.
Bike? I dunno. Maybe something like a GS800. A nimble bike that tours well anyways. With room to buy a t-shirt or three. Pack light and do laundry every night in your hotel room bathroom if you must.

I don't have anything to offer, but please keep us posted on your adventure! Sounds like a really cool bucket list trip! I'm from Red Deer - maybe we knew each other at one time. Stay safe and have a blast!

Went to Scotland in 2000 and toured around. Rented a car, it's not easy to drive on the wrong side of the road. Lots of mistakes that could have been accidents. Take that into consideration before riding a bike.
Great place to see, not many straight roads. It takes much longer to get somewhere because of that. I was there for 2 weeks and didn't see all of it.

There are rental outlets like Eagle that rent vintage Norton, Royal Enfield, Centurion etc cycles. They are however quite expensive, as is any rental. Depending on how long you will be there, cheaper to buy and resell, or ship it back to Canada. One month you will have paid for a good used Bike.
If you are good on a bike, there are a ton of great roads to play on, but do not underestimate the challenge of learning to drive on the wrong side of the road, or of riding on wet pavement and narrow roads. Stay out of heavy traffic for the first week or so. Hope you have a great time.

Good suggestion as that is one of the few Classics still being made. (Norton went Tits up in 2020. There was a group trying to revive it but I don't know if they got it done.). Could buy one new, factory ordered, drive it around for a month and then ship it to Canada. Should be lots of quality used ones around too.

I’ve always wanted a mid 2000’s Daytona 675, but can’t bring myself to part with my R6, nor can I justify more than one sport bike

Thanks for the pointers all.
So committed to new job. Booked the flight same day.
Used TD Expedia and got a flight in WestJet there and air Canada back.
Both direct flights from Calgary.
Only a carry-on allowed so got to travel light.
It was $1,100 round trip but my visa travel points made it only $100 total.
I added on 2million travel medical insurance for another $100.
All set for may.
OCD girlfriend is asking where I’m staying, where I’m going?
She doesn’t like my answer of “ I’ll figure it out when I get there”.
I will try out triumph bikes first and see which one fits the best.
