need help looking for some stuff

been to rona lowes and home depot and no dice

anyone know where in Edmonton I can locate

a single 5/16 - 24 bolt with a hex slot

a long piece of 1 5/8" unistrut (I think that's what its called)

Edmonton Fastners. Two locations one on 96 street south of the whytemud and the other is south of Princess Auto on the west end. I did a 411 search for them once , the machine thought I asked for 'Edmonton Escorts' then asked if it should dial it for me, apparently yelling 'no' is the same as saying yes.

When you say "with a hex slot" are you referring to an allen head bolt (AKA: socket head cap screw) ?

Bolt Supply House should have that as well as the unistrut

It was my work phone. I hung up quick and hoped no one checked the bill. Bolt supply house would more than likely have the bolt you need, Edmonton Fastners may not carry it.
