Default Rainbow Flavored Treat

I'm out on the farm and was thinking of fishing the Leduc Res today. My father in law suggested trying out one of his neighbor's trout ponds. Well that sounded like a plan to me. I've seen people catching some fat rainbows in the past on private ponds and it was finally my turn to try it out! So we headed out in the late afternoon, drilled some holes and put out a few JawJackers. When I was setting up the second one with a bead head Chironimid I dropped it to the bottom and set the rod on the ice. As I was setting up the jaw jacker the rod was pulled towards the hole and I grabbed it before it's first swimming lesson began. It felt like a nice fish and before long I could see a fat rainbow flashing below my hole. I got her up on the ice and then bam the other jaw jacker goes off and I pull up another. Reset the JawJackers and shortly was on to two more great dug out rainbows. What a way to start an ice season. I think I'll have to go try tomorrow morning again. This was my first video shot with the GoPro Hero 3+.

I ordered them online and they work great. I think you can Google jaw jacket fishing to get to the site.

Yeah water ninja I post on the cali forums and they want to try it out. Not something many Californian s ever do.

Went out this am started slow. Not even a bite until around 11 then had three light bites missed on the JawJacker and hooked one on a chronimid I'd that was about 17 inches. Also hooked another on the fly fought it for a bit before she got off. A lot chillier and snowy today.
