Default Wedding Band

Just picked up a bunch of these for a trip into BC and was just curious if anybody on here uses wedding band type lures on our stocked trout waters.

I have used the Red or Bright Green Wedding bands for trout in several provinces,Rainbow, Browns, Brookies

They also are good for Kokannee in BC lakes,

Add worms or small shrimp where permitted to use bait,

Might want to pick up a willow leaf or two as well, put the wedding band 2-4' behind it.

Heading to Maple Ridge for a little over a week stopping around Merritt on way down and Kamloops on way back, with a few days around Whistler in between.
Looking at Red , Upper second for travel days. Alouette and Jones(waleagh) for kokanee..
Got a couple gang trolls and willow leads already.

Blue fox spinners, mepps Agila (dressed), and a nickel spoon are my prefered weapons for trout back home.

good luck and have fun.

Be sure to use a snubber in front of your wedding band for the Kokanee, and reel them in slow so that you don't tear the hook out of their mouth.

If you are going for stocked trout, try the Berkley Powerbait in Chartreuse or Hatchery Pellet flavors/colors. The Berkley trout nibbles work great as well.

Good call on the snubber .... 100% agree .... in this day and age of zero stretch braid ....it's even more important.

I fished Jones quite a bit when I lived down at the coast, try dick nites especially in pink or red colouring, seemed to always work for me. But you can never go wrong with a gang troll or wedding band.
