Thanks for all the positive responses. Yes it was an awesome trip, and I was fortunate enough to be able to team up with an excellent hunter, teamster and new friend.in Alpineguy. I have lived in and hunted southern Alberta for over 50 years and that was one the most memorable hunting trips I have taken. As previously stated, we owe a huge thanks to the landowners of the large tracts of land of which we had total unlimited access.

Looks like a great hunt. I have a few more years to go in priority.
Bit interested in your trailer, do you have a second trailer for the horses or is that the front area?

Hahaha the only fire was the "ring of fire" from my chilli and "potatoe chips"
Thanks for all the compliments, it was a great trip with a great hunter and horseman, Saddleup. Would definitely do it again but hopefully sooner than 10 years.

You guys got it figured out. Well done. Thats a great way. Darn interesting hunt!
Couple of questions. What did you do with your horses at night?
What about feed for your horses?
What about cows? When we were down there the cows sure were wanting something to chew on or eat. They weren't shy and we sure didn't leave anything out that they could get into like ropes, canvas or anything leather.

we used electric fence, so had ability to graze. We moved fence a couple of times. We also took cube alfalfa to supplement. We made sure we camped close to a water supply, in this case a dam on end of coulee designed for livestock. We were in a township or so pasture , had a few cows around bit never bothered us as water and grass was plentiful. That was one hunting trip that shall stay in my mind forever. Great hunt, great time, great hunting/camping partner. It just cant be beat..

That's a cool hunt, wagons on the prairies. You really can't get much more old school than that. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on a successful hunt.
