Around or at? Are you wanting to stay at the lake or just in the general area?

No there is no camp grounds and no free launches the lodge there has a boat launch you can use for $50 a day and a tent camp area out on the lake that you can use for an additional $25 a day. The second lodge is $40 to launch and $25 per pay to park your truck and trailer. There is crown land along the way in you can camp at but you will have to pay launch fees and parking fees everyday and no they will not let you leave the boat in unless you pay of course. You want to fish there be ready to $$$$$$$

Plenty of threads on this lake and topic. Do a search and you’ll find all the info already discussed.

Default Non stop action

-- a friend of mine is at the lake right now

-- they are in for a week, the fishing is insane, up to 80 fish per day with three guys

-- all the big pike have been 15 to 22 pounds

-- they are coming out tomorrow the 20th

-- they are staying with the lodge, but out in the tent compound on the lake, this is my friend second year with this group

--I quess I have to wait till one of the group dies or stops fishing so I can move up the ladder of invites haha

Fished with Paul of Winefred Lake Outfitters. Great guy and unbelievable fishing, lots of pike to 20 pounds and lots of big walleye too. Good accommodations etc.

Biggest of the year so far is 28lbs.. There is free camping to the east of the lodge don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Or stay at Grist and drive in every day.

I am the Commander

Last time I was in it was pretty shallow where the launch is. Ok to launch a tinny but not big iron.
