Default Lund 1700 pro sport

I just picked up a 1996 lund 1700 with a 115 Johnson 2 stroke with a top, all mint, and was wondering what they are worth?

I got took a bit I guess, I paid almost twice that but the boat is mint. The fella who sold it to me said he only burnt about 4 or 5 tanks of fuel in it since he bought it new, and looking at it I believe him. He has never even had the storm cover on the boat yet. I can't wait to get it on the water and put a couple walleye in the live well. I think I need a trolling motor tho.

Default I,m hoping

I,m hoping .....twice as much ......as in under. 10k not 15k

If it doesn't leak now....when you start giving it a pounding

It likely will start.....That much sitting the rubber and hose connections

Will be suspect .....2 strk motor ...you might not be able to get parts

Now....and tough to find service . I was going to say 2k to 5 k

Minty or not. ...if you keep it for 3 yrs it will 20 yrs old.....in this market

You'll have to gift it....keep your fingers crossed and go fishing...

It looks well looked after .....I would get the motor totally serviced

By someone reliable.

thats pretty harsh.

I doubt the boat itself will leak. Gas lines, gaskets etc might.

You can still get parts for 2 strokes that are 35 years old. Ive been doing it for 5 years now. There is not going to be a parts shortage.

I would pay around 10-14 depending on what it looks like. I just bought a 2003 lund 1650 rebel for 10k, but it had a newer 4 stroke 50 horse. So I say you did alright on the boat. You paid a little more than me, but got a lot more bought, just a bit older

Do get the motor looked at. Hoses and gaskets dry out and crack. For peace of mind spend a day and replace them.

oh and for service, there will never be a shortage of 2 stroke mechanics in our lifetime... or get the repair manual and do it yourself. They aren't hard to repair

I paid under $9000 for it, and I'd bet there isn't more than 50-60 hours on it. All the fuel lines were replaced this year. I put the top on it for the first time, it looks pretty dry compared to my wc dlx tiller that's for sure.

Dude Boat looks Badass! Congrats and enjoy every cent of your 9k.... Mint boat and you will never have an issue finding parts for a 2 stroke for the next 40 years so dont let buddy bring ya down... I mean can you find that same boat for under 9k? Yes probably but not in that condition I wouldnt think....

Once again congrats and Enjoy...

If as stated and all good. You got a great deal! Wouldn't worry about the rhetoric. Been searching hard for 2 months and just bought my baby out of Minnesota for price and value. Sell much higher here. If u were to sell it today you could easily make good dollars no problem

Hope u enjoy and congrats !

It came with a full tank of fuel and a full oil tank as well, that's gotta be worth another $100 with gas prices the way they are. I'm pretty happy with it, it's pretty much a 15yr old brand new boat. Best part is the wife can't wait to go try it out..... Right after the honey dew list is wrapped up.

Hey nice boat, lund hold there value, you can take it in and they can hook the motor up and tell you how many hours r on the boat, all does not matter as long as you enjoy it and smack some walleyed this summer

I've been eyeing up a nice lund ever since I was a kid, but I just couldn't justify financing a boat. I'll save up for a few more years and buy myself a nice jet boat next, but for now I'm really happy with this one. I can fish and pull the kids with this one.

Ha ha ha, yes bye! Try selling a lund, then try selling any other brand. I bet I know who will be still trying to sell their boat 2weeks later. My other lund sold in 4 days.

Nothing like letting the wind out of somebody's sails on a new purchase. The boat looks like it's in great shape and will last for many years.

Lol, I think he was messing around or he's clueless. I've been looking at Lunds for a long time, and if I ever see one for 2k-5k I will buy it on the spot, it's hard enough to find a 14ft with a 20hp motor on it for -$3500, let alone a sweet boat like mine Heck the top alone is probably worth $700-$800 bucks.

I looked for a long time also and ended up getting one just outside of Winnipeg with 60 hours on it.

you did good, if you get the motor checked water and oil pumps for sure. I know a few people with older versions of that motor with oil pump issues. I stress older versions 5 years older or more. Just have the mechanic make sure both have good pressure the V6 johnsons made around the same time as that one had issues with the water pump but i dont think the v4's did. The gas is probably old and wasnt premium judging by how little use the boat appears to have, i would get a water separating fuel filter if it doesnt have one. If it has one change the canister. They are small enough now that it could be mounted somewhere out of sight. That is a simple 80 bucks worth of prevention.
