Default Wabamun (Fallis)

Hello,

I'm heading out to Wabumun (Fallis) this weekend and I have read some threads about people getting tickets or getting a vehicle towed. I have never fished there. Just wondering whats that is all about and how I can prevent that from happening?

Cheers

Can you drive on at fallis? Im headed out there tomorrow with my kids as well, but I haven't fished Wabamun ice in a few yrs, ( I just would fish open water at the canal) I will be walking on, but maybe you could park just onto the edge of the ice and walk on and avoid a ticket?????

Guess I will see tomorrow.

Thought you were coming to Pigeon?? If I had a nickel for every time you changed your mind, I could buy Wabamun.

The restricted parking and the associated towing is just over at the Wabamun boat launch area in Wabamun itself. No restrictions that I recall over in Fallis.

It's easy getting onto the ice at Fallis.

They just dont want to to park in front of the cabins there... If you keep going down the road there is a little turn around area and you can park there no problem...

You can, just make sure you don't park where it's marked no parking for the emergency access

No, I won't risk driving on with the winter we've had, especially with my kids, I will just tow them out while they sit on the tent sled.

If you can get over the small hump on the shore at fallis, and I just did in my hyundai accent the other day, you can park on the ice about 10 feet out from shore off to the side and unload and sled your gear and the little ones out.

I am heading to the town of Wab, might hit fallis later on.

Oh if you keep going towards the YWCA camp YoChaWa or what ever there in another boat launch with access, as well lots of free parking. Never been towed on the East side of Fallis in the 25 years of Ice fishing there... mind you have only been driving myself for the last 15.
