Default best drive to lake trout lake in Canada

Was wondering on what some people feel is the best lake trout lake in Canada that you can drive to. I don't think we can count Great Slave lake , as you may be able to drive to it but you could still have a 10 hour boat ride to some great fish. So lets say best lake you can drive to south of the 60th.

IMO, the lakes in Northern Saskatchewan are the greatest for lakers. You can drive to La Ronge and fish Lac La Ronge, or drive to Southend, on the southern tip of Reindeer Lake. Trophy sized fish in both of those lakes. If you want to fish for smaller lakers, and actually catch them from shore, try some of the lakes in the McLennan Lake area, between Lac La Ronge and Southend. All are accessible by road; it's paved to Lac La Ronge and well maintained gravel road from just north of Lac La Ronge to Southend.

Not sure what lake "appaw" is but Lake Athapap is probably in the running for best Lake Trout lake and it is in MB with just a little bit in SK.
For numbers of Lakers its hard to beat Clear Water lake near The Pas MB wife and I have boated 50 plus fish in an afternoon many times, but not many over 7lbs but big 40lb plus fish are caught in that lake every year. I just have not caught them.

Athapap would get my vote. Lots of fish , personal best is 45lbs but saw a 47" caught last year that may push 55lbs.
