Default eps at nsr

such a beautifull day on saturday i could'nt resist hitting the nsr for a couple hours by the beverly bridge (got skunked again). while i was there a group of people with children were playing with their dogs 300 yds. to the north just past the train trestle on a patch of rocks covered with ice. 1/2 hour after they left i was packing up when i noticed an official looking person approaching and i figured "fish cop". turns out he was a police officer investigating a report of someone on dangerous ice too close to the river. I knew that i can't be seen from either bridge and was in a very safe and solid area, but i expected to get a condencending lecture about safety. Instead the officer was polite and friendly and was kind of happy to enjoy a little walk on a sunny day. climbing back up to our vehicles was interesting after fridays snowfall but when we parted company i asked him if i would see him back with his fishing rod and he said very likely as he's a transplanted nova scotian.
