Default Lightest 12' aluminum boat

Anyone know who makes the lightest aluminum 12 foot fishing boat nowadays?? Im looking for a new boat and will be using it on the quad as I just gathered up some material to make a boat rack. The one i have right now is my dads, it is old but probly the lightest one ive seen/used, no markings on it though to identify what exactly it is. Im looking to get my own so his doesnt get all beat up.

Thanks for any help.

If your looking for "NEW" my guess would be a Legend

and if your looking at "Older Used" I think there used to be a Sears model that was pretty light, but not very deep

Oh, and welcome to the forum

Have you checked out any flat bottom jons boats. Might be the way to go .

Look for one that is rated only to 7.5 HP. Offhand I don't know any manufacturers who still make them. The jon boats will be lighter than the Vees. I picked up a Harbercraft 2 years ago on this forum, when stripped of everything it weighs 105 pounds. As mentioned the Legend Ultralite weighs 116.

There used to be an outfit out of BC that made a light weight pontonn called i think a FROG BOAT google it up, saw one a few years back at the fly fish show in Calgary and it was very light and incredible. If I remember they cost under a grand.
