Default Sylvan Lake Fishing Report

Took my 7yr Niece fishing at the Sylvan Lake pier beside the beach on Saturday June 20....
Im impressed! My niece caught a 5 lb pike and I caught 2 walleye, one of them being around 3 lbs. Not bad for a lake with alot of activity from fisherman and recreational users. The catch and release policy is certainly helping this body of water!

Thumbs up

Glad to hear y'all did okay! Nice to get the kids out there; wish my daughter was a little more interested...

Default Traffic ?

Hey how was the Traffic on the lake ? Last time I was there the water wasn't even 60 degrees and the Beach was Packed and people were swimming and boarding ! There was also a lineup to get into and out of the boat launch....

That place must be just psychotic in the Summer time !

The lake looked fairly busy for traffic. Especially from wake-boarders. I guess a little patience would be useful if you plan to take a boat here. Oh yeah...and the beach-goers are fearless of cold water!

Some guys went and fished off the dock by the waterslide. They were catching walleye every second cast.

Ya, that's where I usually fish at.
3 people went for 2 hrs. 2 caught 20+ walleye. 1 caught 30+.
Not bad at all.
