Default Nakamun Lake.

Took my little guy out to Nakamun today, hes only 4, his first time ice fishing.

We got there around 10am, the weather was absolutely fantastic. Drove onto the ice with about 40 other vehicles. Damn that ice is absolutely scary looking. With no snow at all, its just a clear/black color, and you can see all the cracks, at first it feels like your walking on a thin layer of ice on top of the water.

Anyways, we setup the tent, drilled a hole (15-16" of ice), and honestly the minute we put the hook in the water we were getting bites and pulling perch up.

It couldn't have been a better experience. We were catching a fish with seconds of lowering the hook every single time.

If you got little ones, this lake is about 40 minutes northwest of Edmonton, this is the perfect place to take them.
