Default Tractors

wondering how many folks on here have a tractor, what make model and size, what you use it for mainly.

I have a Kubota BX1850 that i've been using for mowing, fencing, clearing overgrowth and forest, and most recently putting in an approach and road before winter put a stop to it.

I have a 2014 John Deere 2032r with FEL, MM mower, 655 tiller. It see's dirt, gravel, sand snow and ice action.
I also have a Case 621B wheel loader that I just got for the same, but much bigger. The JD has a 1/4 yd bucket, the 621 has a 4yd and maybe soon a 6 yd snow bucket.

I sold my international 806 last year because I didnt use it enough, and the tax man needed the money.
Now I feel like I could use it way more often than when I had it...

We have a couple older 8n style tractors.

Then up to some 1980s 2wd massey's Ferguson tractors in the 60hp range and now 4wd 5410 deere with fel is nice.

Nothing too big but a great size for what we do.

For an average hobby farm. I would recommend something 40 plus hp with fel and 4wd.

I don’t have a tractor yet, wouldn’t mind buying a ford 9n or 8n with a 3 point hitch. I get by as it is with my quad and plow but one day when I have more property I’ll invest in a used zoom boom then a tractor second.

Right now I have a 40 horse diesel tractor with 3 pt hitch and a fel. A few years ago I picked up a cat skid steer. It gets all the loader work now. I bought a Harry Ferguson at an auction sale and when I can organize an engine overhaul the diesel will be up for sale.

Kubota BX 2350 with back hoe, FEL, and 60"mower deck.
Used the mower a few times a year and a the backhoe twice since bought in 2014. Excellent machine but have others that will do better in each area this one performs in.

I have a Massey 1635, I use it for mainly cleaning snow and grading. Also nice for skinning animals, loading stuff and many other things. Love my little tractor.

I’m not sure if it’s still true but if buying a new tractor over 70hp are gst exempt. Far to often I see acreage guys buy a little tractor with a loader on it to handle round bales to feed their horses. Considering lots of bales weigh 1700 plus it can be dangerous using a smaller tractor.

I have a Massey Ferguson MF50 backhoe which is really just a Massey 66 tractor with a hoe attachment.

Does it count?

I use it mostly for snow removal.

John Deere finances utility tractors at 0% interest.

Not sure if anyone else does that.

Ran a old Ford 8n for a few years, tough deal when you get some real snow. Liked how short it was for cleaning in tighter areas.
Now run 4x4 Kubota 45 horse diesel. Put fluid in tires , rear blade and front loader do all the work.
Like it lots !

Kubota, Kioti, Massey all do it here in Montana... Kubota I think goes for 84 months 0%.....

Kubota KLT 2002 ( North American 272 equivalent). Allied 195 Loader.

Buckets on Ute tractors are flimsy. Will have to re build my Bucket as the replacements are pretty light as well, and $750..

Grey Market Tractor with a 4 speed PTO. Under 1000 hrs when I got it.

It has worked very hard at the lake.

Like it a lot, at 30 HP Diesel, but it needs fluid in the tires, and a roll bar. Most of the older Utility Tractors have no roll bar, but should have one.

1949 Cockshutt model 30 with a universal loader. Fun old thing to drive but just ok for snow(use the quad and plow more). Great for pushing over trees and scooping horse poo!

Finally just got something bigger than a lawn tractor, not a lot bigger but definitely makes a huge difference for snow removal with the extra weight and hydraulic lift for the blade. 1975 Case 446, neat little hydraulic garden tractors with big rear wheels, I've wanted one for a while, finally found the right deal. I've got a blade, snowblower, and rototiller that will all see use, plus a mower deck i probably will never use on it.

Kubota m8580
- loader, 3 point.

JD 318 Garden tractor
- repowered with 24hp honda, deck, snow blower, hydraulic tiller

Those Case GT's are awesome! I had a 224 which is a small wheeled version. I sold it because it didnt have hydraulics off back and throttle was a little touchy (wife didnt like driving it) if I didnt get such a good deal on my 318, I would still be looking for an old case.

Where did you get the kit to repower your 318? I have one here that I need to do.

Default farm toys

Case IH 1494 FEL & 3pt. (85 hp turbo diesel). 7' snowblower, 7' rear blade, 5' rotary mower, 7' rotovator, and a firewood splitter. And I still use my quad with plow for most snow

MF 1100 diesel (85 Hp)with FEL and a MM 670 (65 hp)gaspot with FEL

A bunch of attachments like cultivators, seeders, chain harrows, discs, plows etc.
