Beaver
How's it going, everyone?!
I found this Beaver's stub while taking a walk with the wife by the river, and it sat in my garage for way over a year now, before I finally got my hands on it.
I decided to turn something new this time, what do you guys think?

Looks like cottonwood. Populus Balsamifera.

Some kind of poplar, looks surprisingly well dried with no splits or insect damage.

I don't know yet, maybe for ground coffee when I go outdoors, sugar or salt, that kinda option.

That's what I was thinking it would be perfect to hold salt or pepper holder by the stove for when you are cooking, with style and a unique talking piece.

Technique has greatly improved. Parting tool and roughing gouge still look dull to me though.
