Hi Guys

I was wondering if anybody has been out to Cow Lake since it opened this spring. Any reports on winterkill?

Was there winterkill? If so, to what extent?

Any updates or information would be most appreciated.

Was out last week. Dead trout and pike all over. Two groups there were still catching some small pike. Restocked with trout fingerlings.

Buddy was there on a motorcycle trip a couple of weeks ago, just as a truck backed in and dumped a bunch of fingerlings. He claimed the loon out on the lake was smacking his lips.

I went on may long a talked to a guy that just got off the lake, and it’s true there were dead trout stacked up in the downwind side of the lake. Said they caught lotsa small pike. Very disappointing.
