Most any 100gr fixed head...that flys the best

100 gr G5 Striker or Montec will fill the bill nicely...

X2

you want a shallow angle, less resistance. Muzzy 3 blade, 75 or 100 gr. is likely the best combo of cutting diameter and blade angle.

Carbon express nativ are pretty good. I shoot them out of my 60lber. Nice two blades and very well priced.

Should have mentioned moose are part of the equation. Does this mean chisel tip is out?

Jimbow's Archery in Calgary recommended I try "RAM Cats". This broadhead has taken elk with passthrough using a 40 - 50 lb bow. Might be worth looking at.

I'm with the montec crowd. I like these broadheads for your application.

Chisel tip? A straight sided triangle tip isn't a good idea, but the trocar (sort of a triangle with concave angles to the sides) design is the most efficient for penetrating anything. We have surgical instruments that utilize this design. Won't be a problem for moose. Cut on contact heads can jam in bone if using light arrows.

if you are using a compound, stick with the muzzy's mentioned above

If you are shooting a recurve with heavier arrows, cut on contact is the way to go

3 blade muzzy 100gr
Get a 100gr 4 blade muzzy phantom and if you take out the bleeder blades you can have a 85gr two blade I believe.

Cut on impacts, like Bear razors, Steelforce, that type of head , work really well on slower and lighter energy arrows.

Keep in mind that heads like the Montec have to be hand sharpened...not a skill that many have/can mastered ...and its not done with the kitchen knife sharpener...and to do right it takes considerable time !!!

Any broadhead should be "Topped up" regularly with quiver use and deifantly after any shot...they should shave hair with ease...there are Broadhead sharpeners that give proper angles and use diamond grit...
Even with those many dont do an efficent enough job IMHO...

The Heads like the G Striker has replaceable blades..sharpper than a surgeon's scalpel right out of the package and only takes minutes to change...

Something to think about...
