Still haven't gone out

Man oh man...
I've now been in red Deer since July 10th, and I still haven't gone fishing with anyone!
I went mountain biking with my brother, but he's not the fishing type and hates bugs. I know almost no one here, and the season is going away....

We were riding yesterday and found a lovely spot by the river, couldn't stay though because my bro hates mosquitoes, wish I had some FISHING/HUNTING friends out here. I guess that will happen in time, meanwhile I feel I've wasted money on a fishing license as I haven't used it. I cannot really go anywhere by myself, me being female. I did take note of the scary looking guys living in the bush by the river...shudder!
