New Longbow
I was very fortunate to get this as a gift a few days ago upon my return from Sochi.
The GF and many other family and friends chipped in to make this possible. I have been shooting it everyday since I got it and every time I draw it back I enjoy it a little bit more.
The bow was made by A. Vilister at John Neeman tools
it is 53# at 28"
I also wanted to thank all the members on here for their support of not only my time competing in Sochi but of all of Team Canada.
Happy Hunting/shooting

Summer Olympics have archery don't they? New bow, new hobby, who knows where that might lead to...

I compete in the 2 and 4 man bobsleigh
I will be sticking with my compound for the upcoming hunting season but may enter some 3d tourneys with it. Lots of practice before then

That's a beautiful bow! Tough luck on the four man spill. You guys represented canada very well you should be proud! I love the beards and hair, you guys look like vikings when the helmets come off.

the addiction of putting an arrow to flight is a hard one to kick.
you represented our nation well. I loved the "push stuff" commercial.

Thanks Knotter and Stinkhammer,
the video was good for a laugh or two.
ya we are trying to get some extra work on the show vikings. Not seriously would be fun though!
Not a bad way to make some cash.
Question
does it matter what material i choose for string silencer?
Rubber
beaver hair
wool
muskoxen

I am not sure about the other materials but I have beaver balls on my long bow and they work very, very well. I wouldn't shoot it with out them.
