Default Bow suggestions for a 25" draw length

I am upgrading my hunting setup but I have a short draw length and don't know what to begin looking at, just looking for a few ideas. Obviously I will try a few at a few different proshops but it's nice to hear an opinion from someone who isn't trying to sell me something

Look for models that have shorter draw maximums... for example the APA Viper Air that I shoot has a max of a 30" draw...obviously a short draw bow...23-30"...

Other brands all make bows that will fit your draw...

Just look for the shorter max draw models...for example any bow that has 32-33" draw are designed for the longer shooter even if the min is 25"

A bow that max's 30" is again most suitable for shorter draw shooters...

Having said that...even some model bows that have a max 30" can be a nightmare for shorter draws because of design...

Bows designed for the ladies or youth are designed for short draws and will shoot the most optimum at short draws...

However you had the right answer of trying a few different models at Pro shops...
wish you the best in your search and keep us updated on your choice...

Neil

If my draw length was that short I would look at the faster bows with a shorter bh personally. Also having that short of. Draw length I'm guessing your a smaller framed person and I would also look at a shorter ata bow.

X2. At 25" this bow actually has the fastest rating in the whole bowtech lineup.

Default short draw

at 25.5" draw the Obsession Bows Delta 6 will outpace anything listed in this thread as far as speed goes. but then again speed is most certainly not everything when buying a bow.

Dont want to make this post about speed. But I will say that you need to make sure of your facts.

Exactly...IBO of 333 at 60lbs and 28.5 inch draw, beats alot of other bows out there and I think its a 6.25 inch brace.

I have no personal experience with this release but someone else
here may use one and can offer pros and cons....

http://www.goattuffproducts.com/index.php?op=14

It's a release I saw on the Goat Tuff website, claims to extend
your draw length up to 3".

LC, Neil, have you seen this one ?

he problem with APA bows is that the way the module design is that when you shorten the draw length that much the module sticks way out of the cam and for any hunting I do that would drive me crazy.

Explain more. So did u have an APA. What is your draw length? I have an APA but at 29".

M5 is advertised as a short draw length bow.

Really it boils down to what feels best in YOUR hand. Only made recommendation if the original poster was interested in k.e...

On the M5 and others when you have a draw lenth shorter than 27 inches the "tail" sticks out of the cam.
